Mason has been racing for three years, He really enjoys racing and being at the track with his friends. His twin brother, Mathew, took up racing at age six but Mason decided he wanted to wait a bit and jumped in his brother’s kid kart when they were eight and Mathew moved up. Mason used the next which was his last year of kid kart eligibility to decide if he wanted to continue racing. He went all in and moved up the following year to the MicroMax class. When Mason said he was all in the next year he meant it. He made a clean sweep at all PSGKA races and won the club MicroMax championship, broke the previous year’s track record set by his brother, won the Gold Cup MicroMax championship, and finished in the top 10 of the MicroMax National points. This year Mason joined his brother in the MiniMax class and held his own against the talented group of racers the NW region has to offer. Mason finished 4th in points for the year and has a good feel for what it is going to take to beat the best at this level. Mason would like to thank his brother Mathew, sister Madisyn, Mom & Dad, and Team MVP for their help during the 2011 season.

Mathew started racing Kid Karts at the age of six and thought that 6 would be a great number for the side of his kart. He raced kid karts for almost two full years. In his final year in Kid Karts he ran the last race of the PSGKA season in a Yamaha Jr 1 class and nearly beat that year’s class champion to finish second in his first competitive race. The next season he moved to the MicroMax class both at the club and regional level. Mathew won the PSGKA championship setting a track record and was a top performer in the MicroMax NW Gold Cup class. He won the final regional event and secured 2nd place for the 2009 season. Through that season he earned the nick name of “Young Gun” by series announcer Terry Bridges. In 2010 Mathew moved to the MiniMax class and started off a bit slow but finished 4th in the regional points and 2nd in the PSGKA club points. In 2011 Mathew’s total focus and effort was put towards the regional series. Mathew charged all season long and again as in previous season got stronger as the year went on. He finished 2nd in the NW Gold Cup regional points and was dubbed the “Most Improved Driver” by series announcer Terry Bridges. Mathew is already looking forward to the 2012 season.
